The UCA is the youngest chiropractic association in the UK with membership growing steadily since 2000. The other three chiropractic professional associations are the British Chiropractic Association, the McTimoney Chiropractic Association and the Scottish Chiropractic Association. The UCA web site sets out the wellness and holistic approach taken by UCA members and that the UCA stand behind the underlying principle of chiropractic that "healthy spine, healthier life". By offering expert drug-free spinal health care and lifestyle advice, the UCA believes this promotes a healthier life. The UCA has been a client of Bankside Law from its early days and refers its members who are facing disciplinary problems to us. We have extensive experience of acting for UCA chiropractors at the GCC and in the Admin Court. We have also acted for McTimoney, BCA and SCA members in disciplinary proceedings. After libel proceedings between the BCA and Simon Singh Singh the GCC commenced numerous disciplinary proceedings against a significant number of BCA members. Some UCA members were caught up in this. Bankside Law represented all of the UCA members who were covered by DAS legal expenses for these "web site" cases. We achieved a 100% acquittal rate thus ensuring that no UCA chiropractor whom we represented had a disciplinary finding recorded against their name for any web site case brought by the GCC. Bankside Law are appointed on to the DAS legal expenses insurance panel of solicitors specifically to deal with this niche area
